this weekend was crazy

so today was the 125th anniversary of fbc lewisville, and there was much rejoicing. like, seriously. 1400 people came, went to the service, and ate the food. the hallways were completely packed with people. the trash cans just kept getting filled up. i was having to juggle my duties of cleaning up the worship center before the big gospel celebration time and helping matt take care of all the trash while people were eating, because the trash cans would get filled completely up in about five seconds. so i kept having to go back and forth between the two opposite sides of the church, trying to get through the massive crowd while wheeling trash cans, and take care of all this garbage and getting really tired. because i had been there all day. and yesterday i was at work preparing for this whole thing from 8am to 11pm. not to mention the additional work i did on friday as well. and i didn't even really get to partake in the festivities, cuz i was working. so i was exhausted.
then this old guy that i didn't even know came up to me and said "thanks for all the hard work you've done, young man."
and i dunno, suddenly all of it just seemed worthwhile.
